Leurre Nature offers a wide range of lures, adapted to all types of predator fishing.

1. The shape
The first thing which differentiates lures is of course their shape. It gives each lure its own type of swimming action:

The jerkbait : it oscillates, reinforced by dry and frank strokes of the fishing rod, the " jerks "

The swimbait : articulated lure, will naturally swim like a real fish

Swimbait Barnabé

The popper: surface lure, it will generate, on clean shots, a lot of attention on the surface by producing a characteristic "pop" mouvement

2. The weight
A second element plays obviously an essential role in the type of fishing you will do is the weight of the lure!

The heavier the lure, the further you can throw it (especially when the wind is blowing!), but above all, the more it will have a tendency to sink, and therefore to explore deeper waters

Lighter lures will float (depending of course on their volume - Archimedes has something to do with it...! ;-), or will be suspended between two waters ("suspending lures"), or will sink slowly ("slow diving") as soon as you stop reeling them in.

3. Lures adapted to each type of fishing
Thus, by combining the shape of the lure and its weight, we obtain a whole range of lures with different and complementary swim patterns for different water depths - to give you every chance of hooking a fine fish!
It's up to you to choose the lures that are best suited to the type of fishing you want.
a) at the edge, in the seagrass: floating lure!

You fish from the shore, or in waders, in rivers or shallow ponds,  through tall grass where lord Pike and Dame Perch are hiding.

Choose floating lures:

Or slow sinking lures :
  • the BARNABE swimbait in chestnut wood.

The use of simple hooks, like those used in BARNABE, will make it easier for you to go through the weed beds, limiting the risks of getting hooked...!
b) in a boat, in a lake: sinking lure!

You fish from a boat, a float tube or from the shore, but you want to go looking for predators that are deeper in pits or drop offs.

Opt for sinking lures:

That's it for the tips, all you have to do is choose the lure that suits you best,
100% natural and attractive of course!
